Rearrange apps feature

When I use the new quick-access menu to rearrange the apps on my phone, I am unable to move more than one app at a time without an app icon freezing on my screen & not allowing me to move it or other apps. This often happens when I’m trying to move an app to a folder. It’s really inconvenient & the old way was perfectly fine. I’d love some advice on how to rearrange things with this update.

A suggestion to any Apple developers, if they’re reading this: no one is sharing apps by using any share feature, most normal people say “hey check out this app” via words in texts. I get how it might be useful but also it’s a new feature that has created a problem with an existing feature that used to work seamlessly.
