If I change carriers, will my contacts transfer if I’m using the same iPhone?

If its the same iPhone, then there's nowhere to transfer to or from. iPhones don't store contacts in the sim card.

So anything on the iPhone stays there regardless of what carrier you are using.

Contacts are synced to whatever mail or cloud program you used. So you sign back into those account after you have switch carriers.
