apps automatically launches/ opens?
Some apps automatically have black dots / open when i turn on my macbook even though i did not select for them to 'open at login'. How do I get rid of this??

When you shut down your computer, I presume you go Apple Menu -> Shutdown. If so, uncheck the box that says "Reopen windows when logging back in," as this will cause every app you had open at shutdown to reopen when the computer turns on, regardless of whether or not it is part of the login items.

unlock the pad lock and use the - to remove them from the list.

hi, i tried that too but the app doesn't appear under the log in items...
it just has the black dot under it whenever i turn on my mac, but it doesn't launch./ open..
