How do I stop apps to open at Start Up on macOS Ventura 13.0 version?

Hello everyone,

I am going a little mad, can anyone please tell me how do I stop apps to open at Start Up on macOS Ventura 13.0 version? It's an iMac that I use.

I have no idea why it bothers me so much but every time I open this computer it's a game of closing apps.

Thanks for you help,

Roxy

When you shut down or restart, there is a checkbox to restart apps that were open when you shut down. Are you setting that correctly?

Are they in your Login Items? General System Settings > Login Items?
