Games sounds

I have a new iPad and when I play games on it they don’t make any sounds. But YouTube videos and other apps do make sounds. I tried looking through settings and cannot find anywhere to fix it. Help?

Have you looked in the settings for the game itself? I know some of my games have the ability to mute the app sounds while still allowing the general volume of my device to remain the same.
