MacBook Air won't turn on after recent Catalina update.

I updated my operating system to Catalina yesterday. Since doing so, my laptop will not power up when I open it. The only way I have been able to use it is to hold the power button to power down and then restart each time.

MacBook Pro will not turn on. After attempting the latest (4/9/2020) Catalina update, my MacBook will not turn on. i have unplugged all peripherals, connected it to the Apple power supply (all 4 thunderbolt ports). I have attempted press and hold power button for 10s then press. i have also attempted the SMC reset press combinations. No indication of power on (no change I screen backlight, caps lock, fan sound, etc). anything else I can try?

Macbook air 13' 2017 not powering on after update Macbook Air 13' 2017 model, but only few months old is not powering on at all, after an OS update. Have tried holding Power 10 secs and holding ctrl, opt, shift key etc. Power shows green when inserted. It seemed to go through the Catalina update but never powered back on.

Issue resolved after installing Catalina update on 10/29/19.
