NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M-CUDA update? Constant "Update" window pops up for every computer start-up

This question is directed at Apple...When will the newer operating systems be reconciled with the older MacBook Pros and other computers that have NVIDIA GPUs? The operating system insists on keeping all software up to date, and this model 2013 Macbook Pro falls under the current crop of supported products, yet video playback and editing are taxing the hardware. A CUDA driver update would seem to fix this. I regret not keeping my current device (early 2013 Macbook Pro) at 10.13.
