How do you get images to send over text message?

I can't send images over text. I get an error 90% of the time. If I don't get an error, the green bar fills about 90% and then freezes. I assume it's an issue with the size of the picture. It's nearly impossible to resize pictures. There should be a simple way to do it. I tried emailing it to myself with a reduced size and it still won't text. It shouldn't take literally hours to text am image. This is supposed to be a phone. Texting (easily) should be one of the main functions.

iPhone 11, iOS 13

Again, please do yourself a favor and contact your phone carrier.

Let your phone carrier know about the size limitation, since again MMS - Multi Media Service is a carrier function, not an Apple or iphone function.

It's an issue with the phone. The simple fact that the phone has a feature to resize for email and not for text makes it clear that nobody thought to optimize the texting experience of the phone. If it was an issue with the carrier, then I wouldn't have been able to send images with my last phone either. I can text images just fine to other iphones because they're designed to be able to receive them. The phone needs to have a feature that allows me to send smaller images so they can actually get sent.
