iMac and iPhone Settings Continually Asks for Update to my Apple ID

For some reason, after the latest two Apple downgrades, I keep getting a notification in settings that my Apple ID settings need to be updated. Sometimes, 10 minutes after doing so, and having done nothing on the system, I get another notice to update the settings. Why?

Annoying Update message on settings There is a permanent 1 marked on the Settings app on our newish iMac which is running Ventura. When we click on Settings there is a message to the effect that 'Your Apple ID needs updating' but when we try to do this supposed update and enter Apple ID password it won't accept it. My husband has changed his Apple ID several times because of this but it makes no difference. He has tried logging out of his Apple ID and then logging back in again but it doesn't have any effect. Update My Apple ID Settings endless loop. I had a notice from System Preferences to Update My Apple Settings and requires me to log into my Apple ID. When I enter the ID and password, it just says continue, when you hit continue, it just prompts to continue. It never goes away. I can't use my ID.
