I have my television on and airplay menu on the screen. How do I project what is on my iPad onto my television

Help with airplay. I have the airplay menu on the television. How do I project my iPad onto the television.

ipad not recognizing TVs on airplay I am trying to cast a photo slideshow from my ipad to my TV. I can successfully do so on my iphone, but when I try to do it on my ipad it doesn't recognize any of our TVs through airplay like my iphone does. Any idea on how to get this to work? I did verify that my Airplay settings on the ipad are already set to "Automatic". The Airplay option shows up on the slideshow, it just doesn't show any options. Thanks!
