How do I stop Mac OS Catalina from verifying every time I open a microsoft office app?

If you have any add-on anti-malware apps, add-on anti-virus apps, add-on cleaning apps, add-on network firewall and monitoring apps, or add-in VPN client apps, remove those per the vendors’ instructions, reboot, and see if the re-verification process ceases.

This is a terrible answer to what is by now a well-known issue with Catalina and Office. AFAIK there has not been a fix released yet, and many, many people are experiencing exactly this behavior. Even if the only answer at this time is “we don’t know yet, but we’re working on it”, that is far better than the answer that was given.

Many apps are verified each time I restart the computer not just Microsoft apps. These same apps are reverified each time. Why verify over and over? Nothing has changed. It now takes several minutes after a restart to start using the computer. What a terrible OS upgrade Catalina is. Make a change before I move to Windows.

This is a disappointing response because this is a known issue with Catalina and Keeping my Mac up-to-date was the cause of the problem.
