My phone was stolen

Hello - I recently sold my iPhone - I sent the phone to the person who paid via PayPal or so I thought

it turned out this was all fraud and they did not send the money to me at all so they now have my phone and I have no money for it - can I lock this phone so they can’t use it - I did wipe all my details off it as I was selling it

iPhone XR

No, you cannot lock a phone that is no longer on your account (or else you could lock any phone in the world if you wanted to).

You should be contact the police and file a report. The only problem with recovering anything is if the person is in another country or jurisdiction.

Always check your PayPal account, not an email that looks like you got paid. This is a common scam unfortunately.
