Music Sync

I have a new XR using 13.1.3 and an iMac using 10.14.6 with iTunes 12.9.5.5 and Apple Music with Sync Library on in my Music Settings. I can't access the music in iTunes. And part of the music that I had on my 7 before upgrading to XR didn't transfer over which is why I'm looking for it. I would love to access the music I have in iTunes, from my phone especially, but on my iPad as well.

Thanks for any and all help.

Hi MichaelCWFL,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. As I understand it, you have a question about some content in the Apple Music library. Is that right?

To clarify a few points, when you say you can't access the music in iTunes, what's happening? If you get an error, what does it say?

You mentioned you don't see some music that was previously stored on an iPhone 7. What was the source of that music? For example, imported from CDs, purchased in the iTunes Store, etc. As a general starting point, this resource looks like it will be helpful: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library

I hope this helps. Feel free to reply back with an update if those steps don't resolve the issue. Take care.
