How to Connect MacBook Pro to HP Monitor

Hi, I just got the new MacBook Pro 2019 - it has 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports. I want to connect it to an external monitor. The monitor I have is the HP z23 (picture of ports on the monitor below).

No idea how to connect it / what connector to buy if I need a new one etc. Please help!

according to HP web site:

Signal input connectors

1 VGA; 1 HDMI 1.4; 1 DisplayPort™ 1.2

Best performance AND cheapest price are obtained by buying a ThunderBolt-3 to DisplayPort third-party adapter, rated for 4K. they claim a DisplayPort cable was shipped in the box.
