How do I proceed with the “computers” & “settings” display on Apple TV ?

If you only see Computers and Settings on an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation),

then it isn’t connected to the internet.


  • Verify the network settings on Apple TV.
  • Verify the network.
  • Restart the router, to re-initiate the connection between the router and connected devices.
  • If connected by ethernet, try Wi-Fi.
  • If connected by Wi-Fi, try ethernet.
  • Eliminate or minimize interference.
