Restrictions Code
I want to erase everything on our old ipad air so I can give it to a friend. I can not remember the restrictions code. How can I get this code?

You cannot. It only exists on the iPad. You are going to have to put the device into Recovery Mode and restore it to factory. See this support document for restoring a device that you forgot the passcode for. It will wipe the device. If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
