"Find" in "Songs" view: Only works in "Albums" view. Also, where is the cover artwork in "Songs" view, and why would they get rid of this?

I can't use the "Find" feature in the "Songs" view. It only seems to work in the "Albums" view. I have two duplicate albums and I need to delete one of them, and I don't see an option to do that in "Albums" view. I am trying to get my collection under 100,000 tracks so that my Match will work properly again, but if I can't see details in the "Songs" view because I can't use the "Find" feature... frustrating. Not everybody is just downloading some songs and listening to them, some of us have to manage our library and they've taken away basic tools like "Find" and the album covers in "Songs" view.
