You may need an Apple ID and Password to reset your iPhone 7. To reset your iPhone:

  1. Tap Settings, General, and Reset
  2. Tap "Erase All Content and Settings"
  3. Enter your passcode if asked
  4. Confirm if you are sure to reset your phone
  5. Finally, enter your Apple ID and password

This will erase all your content (music, videos, photos and apps) and restores to defaults. Also, your device will be removed to your iCloud and will not be tracked on Find my iPhone.
