Apple Music app freezes when selecting songs while another song is playing.

I am on Day 2 of a 3 month trial of Apple Music. I did not use this app before yesterday but I have used it many times since then, to select songs for download. I continually encounter a problem when I select a song to play while another song is already playing. Instead of the new song starting to play, nothing happens. From that point, I cannot select any other song and cannot select Next song. The only way to recover is to exit the app and reopen it.

Is there any way to stop this happening? I can live with it while there is a free trial but after that I don’t think so.
