Is it possible to change the safari default voice speech reading function? I find Alex's voice very robotic and I'm hoping for one of the other voices that's an iOS such as Siri's voice. I tried in accessibility -> dictation. However, that didn't change the voice. As I said, I believe the default voice on Safari is Alex.

I had no trouble having Serena (English voice) recite your post to me from Safari 13.0.2. System Preferences : Accessibility : Speech. I changed this to Fiona (Scottish standard english) and your post was recited in her voice. This was on Mojave 10.14.6 (18G103) as I didn't have Catalina booted just now.
Having just booted into Catalina, the preceding paragraph works the same way. Unless you select Siri Female (United States) which speaks with Alex's voice.
When adding customized voices, beware that Apple may preselect other voices that you do not want until you start to see them being installed, and no way to stop it.

Did you try System Preferences/Accessibility/VoiceOver/VoiceOver Utility/Voices?
