Why doesn't all theUSB ports work when I connect my iPhone to my PC?

When I plug my iPhone in using the two USB ports on the left side, it works fine but when I try the one on the right side, I get a constant alert sound and then an error message pops up. I've seen three different ones.

The USB port on the right side of the computer may be a slower speed USB port. That is something you would need to check your computer documentation for, or contact the manufacturer. Newer computers can have USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports to facilitate the use of older hardware. This could be the issue. Use the port that you say works fine.
