default date format

It looks like I only get the format that corresponds to my culture desigantion chosen for my device and each cell needs to be changed to get a diferent format. Can that be true?

Even if it is true, you can select a range of cells, then set the format collectively using the cell formatter:


then when you enter a valid date it will be set to the format you selected
