macOS Mail: collecting flaws

One of the flaws I discovered in macOS Mail shows different dates and time between the listed Mail and the side preview; another highlights conversations although unchecked...

Does anyone have the same (or other) problems?

EDIT: the link I pasted does not show...

Hello siamless,

Thanks for posting to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that the Mail app is showing conflicting information in the preview for the message and the message list. I'll do what I can to help.

These steps might work for you to get them synchronized:

  • Check the date and time settings on the Mac to make sure they're still showing accurately: If the date or time is wrong on your Mac
  • If it's only happening with one particular account, check that accounts mail on their website to see which time it's supposed to display.
  • Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart to see if the dates or times change.

Cheers.

Thank you Alex for your assistance.

macOS did indeed had an issue in automatically synchronizing the time zone; after un- and re-checking the corresponding setting the Mail date was synchronized, too.

May I ask you if you also have an answer why pasting a link in the corresponding field (below, marked by a chain) results in not showing it after posting?

Thank you again for your support.

Axel
