deleting libraries in fcp
can i delete the libraries in movies folder after moving to external hard drive?

Yes you can.
Some things to consider:
Is the external formatted for FCP X use, this means Mac OS Extended for spinning drives or APFS for SSD.
Double check the new Libraries are functioning correctly before deleting the others in the Movies folder.
To open moved Libraries, simply double a Library icon on the external and all should be well.
