IPHONE 11 proximity issue

If you're having trouble with your proximity sensor, the first thing to do is remove any cases and/or screen protectors and test. If it still doesn't work, make arrangements to have Apple evaluate it as you most likely have a hardware issue.

The fact you are using a full screen protector (one without a notch) is most likely the issue. You should remove the screen protector, then see if your proximity sensor functions normally without it. If it does, buy a screen protector with a notch which doesn't block, any of the sensors on the top of the phone.

Remove your full screen protector and replace it with one with a notch, which won't block the proximity sensor and WILL solve your issue.

If you already tried (to no avail) a "forced restart" of your 11:--> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

and if you checked that nothing (cover or screen protector) can obstruct your proximity sensor, since your iphone is brand new, have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:--> Apple – Location Selector

Yes it's true, i removed the screen protector and tested it for more than 10 times and never happened, then put it on again and it started to happen again, so i found the solution I guess, thanks👍🏻

Do you use fullscreen screen protector?

Yes it solves the problem if u remove tempered glass from the notch

I removed the glass and the problem is gone!!!!

Actually I’m facing same issue and I have full screen screen protector... one of friend was facing same issue with his XS and it got resolved after he started using open notched screen protector

Sorry for late reply. Yes I’m using iPhone 11. I did not check much without screen cover.. one my friend checked without screen cover and said it became much faster.

Have you device inspected. It's still covered by warranty, so... it could be a sensor glitch.

Good. That said, a screen protector is still highly recommended. Do you live near a Best Buy store or an Apple Store? Apple is my preferred seller for the screen protectors for these phones. They sell the Belkin protectors and they have a machine that makes installing them perfect and they include the notch to avoid what you've experienced.

Today I bought new screen protector which makes the notch uncovered , so what I noticed is that there is like 1 second delay for the screen to be responsive after u take the phone away from ur ear , so I think there is some hardware issue

proximity sensor is working fine but screen response is slow like 1 s till it becomes responsive this what I noticed , in my 8 plus whenever I removed the phone from the ear it will be instantaneous response I can directly end a call
