Reinstall an app I paid for

I purchased an app for my son in July 2019 and deleted it off my iPad in October. I would like to reinstall it now but when I go to the App Store it doesn’t recognize that I already purchased it and just need to re-download it. It wants me to pay for it again.


Is there a way to download a previously purchased app onto my iPad so I don’t have to buy it again?

Make sure you are signed in using the same Apple ID that was used to pay for that app.
