iPad rotation happens randomly

When I unlock my iPad, initially the home screen shows fine. Then about a second later, with the iPad being help in portrait mode and pretty much straight up and down, the home screen rotates to landscape. The whole screen moves to landscape and the Today view flies in. The only way to fix it is to rotate the iPad 180 degrees to get it back to the orientation that it should have been in the first place. I’m on iPadOS 13.2 and I would have figured that this rotation bug would have been fixed by now. Honestly, the rotation bug shouldn’t have been there in the first place. I’m just not sure what could have changed in accelerometer inputs from iOS 12 to iPadOS 13 on the same iPad mini to even warrant a change in the code.

Hello,

Try resetting iPad's settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.
