text message sending to wrong number for contact
Lately (the past month or so), sometimes when I try and text message someone, the messages are being sent to a phone number under the contact which is not their mobile number. This happens from the same text dialog where the person texted me, and where I have texted them on their mobile number before.
NOTE: This happens with text messages, not iMessaging. The person I am texting has an Android phone, not an iphone.
An example: I have a contact who has 3 phone numbers configured for them. Mobile, Home and Work. All previous text messages have gone to their Mobile number. This morning, this person texted me as they often do, and I see the new message in the same conversation list as all previous messages, but when I reply, I get a message back from Rogers saying I just texted a landline, which is the Work number for my contact. Tried again, and again it says I just texted the work number. If I go to the contact, then select Message from there, I again see the same message history, but when I text this time, it goes to the correct number (or at least I don't get a message saying I texted a landline).
I saw this once a few weeks ago with another contact, but in that case, the text went to his email address rather than his phone. In that case as well, I still see the text message I sent in the text application, same conversation history as all previous texts sent.
Anyone else seen this or any idea how to fix?
Regards,
Denise.
