How to Delete iPad Contacts Group

My iPad has Contacts Groups which I do not want and I can't find a way to delete them. I tried deleting all the contacts in one of the groups and that didn't work. These groups do not show up in contacts at icloud.com. The groups also do not appear on my iPhone. I am syncing contacts to iCloud on both devices. I'm using the latest iOS (13.1.3)

How do I remove these Contacts Groups from the iPad?

Thanks for your assistance. It got me on the right track to see that one of the iPads was storing contacts in Google vice iCloud. I exported the Google contacts, deleted them, and then imported them to iCloud. Problem now fixed.

It would sound like you have Contacts from another source on the iPhone. Go to Settings>Passwords & Accounts. From there, you will see accounts listed, these are mail accounts that you have on the iPhone. See if one of them has Contacts listed under it. If so, go to that account and you will probably find that you have the switch on for Contacts to sync from that account.
