Apple TV + TV + Audio amplifier

Hello ! I have an audio amplifier with AirPlay, a TV with HDMI, an AppleTV with AirPlay and HDMI. Can I simultaneously transfer video to a TV via HDMI and audio to an audio amplifier through AirPlay? It is not possible to transmit sound from a TV to an audio amplifier because there are no compatible interfaces.

AirPlay doesn’t support sending video to one destination device and audio to a different one.

Many TVs have multiple means for audio output: HDMI, Toslink optical, RCA coaxial, or RCA analog stereo (red-white).

Some users will insert an HDMI Audio Extractor to route video differently from audio.

Do tell us which interfaces are available in that particular setup.

You can set it up as: Apple TV → TV with audio passthrough → amplifier

or: Apple TV → AV receiver with video passthrough → TV

or: Apple TV → HDMI Audio Extractor → TV

↘︎ amplifier

Any of these will work.
