drag and drop not opening folders to drop into

Hi All,

My drag and drop works but my question is

I used to be able to drag something and hold over a folder,

  • then the folder would automatically open
  • I could then drop it into the folder or drop into another folder by holding the item over it
  • and so on and so on

I also used to be able to drag a mail message over a mailbox folder on the left and it would open for me to be able to choose the location within that folder to drop it. But now it doesn't open and I have to drop into folder then open the folder manually to reorganize it within.

I hope that all makes sense.

So, same problem, one on the desktop and the other in the mail.

Am i missing a with somewhere that will allow me to be able to do it? I bet its something simple but cannot find it after hours of searching

Thanks in advance

Is it enabled in Accessibility, Pointer Control? Try toggling it off then on if its already on.

Delay not set too long?

Hitting the spacebar while hovering should also open the folder, but it should not be necessary.
