Just updated HomePod to ios 13.2.1. Unfortunately HandOff is not working at all(any app). Tried to restart HomePod and Iphone already. "Transfer to HomePod" in AirPlay and HandOff is switched on. Tried to switch it off and on again but id didn't help. Do you have any ideas guys?

Had the same problem bit finally got it to work. Literally has to sit my XR on top of the HomePod and leave it there. took about 5 secs to recognise it, then handed off my music. Tried it without silicone case but no quicker. I did restart phone and HomePod. Now to check it works on my other 2 Homepods.
Same issue here, 2 homepods transfer works sporadically at best, but most of the time doesn't work at all. Really disappointing as this was the flagship feature for me this year.
Turn on Handoff on your devices
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch: Go to Settings , then tap General > Then tap AirPlay & Handoff. (Turn it On)

would be interested that for people that it is working for.... in shortcuts when adding a personal automation and NFC does it pick up a NFC on top the home pod?
Back to not working for me too. Worked for a little bit, but even when it did work it took me about 5 seconds of holding my phone over the HomePod for it to register I wanted to do a handoff.
most likely you touched the top HomePod touch panel (play/pause music) I done the same thing when I realised what I done.
mine also not working. iv removed and re added HomePod from home kit. hopefully public release of iOS 13.3 fixes this
New 2 week HomePod owner here in the U.S. Hand off was not working. To get hand off to work by putting my iPhone XS near the top of the HomePod, I first deleted my HomePod from iCloud and removed it as an accessory from Home. I did a HomePod set up again. "Transfer to HomePod" and "Handoff" are turned on by default yet feature still was inop. I decided to turn BOTH the transfer to HomePod AND handoff off. Turn both back on. It now works...for how long?...
I haven’t posted this yet to the feedback page but I’m headed there now. It seems to still be working for me but since everyone else is still having the same problem, and I may have it again in the future, I’m going to send feedback on it.
I suggest everyone else do the same since this is simply a community for us to chat amongst ourselves. Submissions actually get seen by the engineers.
