Just updated HomePod to ios 13.2.1. Unfortunately HandOff is not working at all(any app). Tried to restart HomePod and Iphone already. "Transfer to HomePod" in AirPlay and HandOff is switched on. Tried to switch it off and on again but id didn't help. Do you have any ideas guys?

Had the same problem bit finally got it to work. Literally has to sit my XR on top of the HomePod and leave it there. took about 5 secs to recognise it, then handed off my music. Tried it without silicone case but no quicker. I did restart phone and HomePod. Now to check it works on my other 2 Homepods.

Running 13.3 all around and this is still broken for me. I removed and re-added HomePods from my home app to reset them a couple weeks ago, which fixed the issue temporarily. But now it’s back to not working again.
Edit: just removed and re-added my HomePod *again* and it once more fixed the issue. This is buggy as heck. Btw I’m in the US.
Have upgraded to iOS 13.3 on the phone and it works on this version flawlessly.
Right after posting this I shut down the phine and it took about 1.5 mins which is longer than usual. I then turned it back on and tried again. I pretty much had to set the phone directly on top of the HomePod for it to transfer but it worked!
Just had a call from Apple (I didn't expect that because I didn't requested a call)> So they solve my problem. They did so checks and they told me to go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> "Reset All Settings". After Reset HandOff is working. At least at the moment. Disadvantage is you need to do your settings (wallpaper, apple pay, faceID etc.) once again.
I've just updated the HomePod & iPhone to iOS 13.3 and it's working for me now.
I was having this issue for two days with my new Home Pod. Everything worked fine except this. Finally, I just did a forced restart of my iPhone. Now it seems to work just fine.
Not sure if I mentioned this yet... I’m just now revisiting this forum after awhile and noticed you mentioned Restore being a hassle but, you can use iTunes to do a Recovery Mode Update which will reinstall the OS without affecting your data.

I got in touch with Apple support. They asked me to make sure it happens with a different phone as well. I’ll try to verify and by this isolate it to either phone or HomePod issue...
I would be frustrated, I would backup all data then reboot to factor & start over.
Still no joy for me, and that’s with a second device. I originally was trying with my 11 pro, but I had it replaced at the Genius Bar yesterday, the replacement doesn’t work either. This is definitely isolated to the HomePod
