It looks like Catalina eliminated Dashboard on my mac desktop. Not happy! How can I replace for things like currency conversion and world clock? Weather is in notification bar but what about all the other widgets I have come to depend on?
There is a world clock in the Notification center.
You'd have to look in the App Store for the other widgets. Some apps also come with widgets.
And, the Calculator app has a currency conversion section.

Never mind, Lanny. I figured it out. Thanks - I see its an app not a widget. I liked all those widgets, sorry to see them go!
