Apple ID is NOT the email I use (an iCloud.com email). I need to create a new iCloud.com email.

When I bought my first apple product years ago I was using gmail for my email and didn't want an email address that was @me. Move forward many years and I created an email that ended in @iCloud.com. I have emails at yahoo, gmail and iCloud. They are all the same before the @..... I have been notified that my iCloud.com email address has appeared on the dark web, by id monitoring service.

I NEED TO:

  1. Change the password for the iCloud.com email (THAT IS NOT MY APPLE ID)
  2. Create a new iCloud.com email address that will still not be my Apple ID

I am having trouble finding instructions. This email address was created years ago and I have no memory of how I did it.

Please help.

Change your Apple ID password. An @iCloud address has the same password as your Apple ID.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support     I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.

You can't remove/change @iCloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com aliases.
