Can't delete application data from iCloud

The icon for this app indicates to me that you've already removed the app from your iPhone. I've got a few suggestions I can make based on that, starting with restarting your iPhone and trying again: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support.

If restarting doesn't solve the issue, I'd next recommend reinstalling the app to your device: Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books - Apple Support, then removing it from backing up to iCloud: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support, and deleting the app again: How to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.

I’ve tried all of and it doesn’t work. Even tried calling Apple Support for help but they wanted full access to your iCloud storage before they would be able to help. So in the mean time we are left stuck with an unknown app and unknown data on our devices for which we have no control over. Seems like a security issue.

I am having the same problem and tried all of these steps. I am trying to delete the data from a game to "start over". I have been able to do this for this same app before, but now I cannot. After I delete it, when I reload it is right where I left off. I cannot delete the data. I have tried numerous recommended tips including the steps you listed for the original post.

I have the same problem. I don't even have the app on my iphone (and never did), just on the Mac. It was deleted (after barely using it during a trial period).

I’m having the same issue with Ulysses Classic app and it’s driving me crazy. It could be a malware or virus of some kind as I’ve noticed that there’s been a couple of apps downloaded in my iCloud storage that I’ve not downloaded myself since the discovery of this problematic Ulysses app.
