Insufficient disk space while importing
While importing media in a new Macbook, error showing insufficient disk space even though I have space >80gb.

The "insufficient disk space" issue has appeared for some users following the update to Catalina and iMovie 10.1.13.
Try importing using a USB wire connection and see if that solves it. One user reported that that had worked.
If you are trying to import into iMovie on your Mac, try redownloading iMovie. That also has worked for other users who have had the insufficient space issue.
