Can I set individual times for each slide in a self-playing, looped slideshow on Keynote?

I am new to Keynote version 9.2 (6520) and putting together my first presentation which has almost 500 slides. It will play to a large audience as background information during a several hour event so no audio- just a continual progression of photos many of which have text. I really do need to vary the amount of time each slide shows because the amount of information differs significantly within slides. In Documents, I set to Loop slideshow, Restart show if idle for 1 minute and Self-Playing. It would be nice to have each slide play 5 seconds as a default, but some as few as 3 seconds and others as many as 20 seconds. All my slides change in unison to the same build amount I entered in the latest slide. There is likely a simple fix I haven't stumbled on, but it is proving elusive to me. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

As I understand it, you have set the presentation to self playing with every slide transition set for 5 seconds, with a separate timing for builds as shown here:

To add a different duration for other specific slides:

in the Navigator (the left side panel) go to the first slide that you want a different duration to be set and click on the slide to select

to select multiple slides to change the timing; hold the command key down on the keyboard and click on each slide in the Navigator that you want to change - these slides will now be highlighted in the Navigator
go to: Inspector > Animate > Transition select Automatically and enter the alternative slide duration as shown here:

Repeat the process for other slides that require a different timing
