I am trying to log my dad into his Apple ID on an iPhone X , and it sends a code to another device with his Apple ID but the problem is he hasn't got another device logged into his Apple ID already. when I tried sending the code to the trusted numbers, those numbers are currently invalid. how can I change the trusted phone number to a different number?

I have tried to do so, but it asks me to put in the numbers from the trusted numbers, but both those numbers are foreign and I cannot access them from where I am. therefore I can't get a verification code
