Is using iPhone XS as WiFi dongle possible?

Hi

I am currently experiencing internet issues at home. I have been sent an unlimited data device by my ISP to use while they repair my main broadband router.

Unfortunately my PC does not have a WiFi chip as it runs solely on Ethernet, so I cannot connect wirelessly to this temporary device.

I am looking to use my iPhone XS to connect to the temporary WiFi device, and to then connect my iPhone XS to my PC using USB connection, and I was wondering if it is possible for my iPhone to act as a WiFi "dongle" of sorts, allowing the connection to be established on my PC through the iPhone's WiFi capability.

I hope my explanation makes sense, please feel free to ask any questions if not.

Thank you

iPhone XS, iOS 13

In this case, the easiest way would probably be to buy an inexpensive Wi-Fi adapter ( Edimax EW-7811Un is just one example) and connect it to a USB port of the PC. You should then be able to access the "unlimited data device" via Wi-Fi, without involving the iPhone.

The Personal Hotspot function of an iPhone would per se allow you to access a mobile Internet service, but directly (thus "replacing" the aforementioned data device, not connecting to it). Here, you would have to rely on the data plan used with the iPhone.
