I have the exact same settings. I have a 3 day old XS Max with that setting “trust agent version 7” so alarming. I signed into the XS Max with an ICloud I had been locked out of since it was compromised a few months earlier. Big mistake. As soon as I did the phone screen time asserted itself and basically LOCKED DOWN the entire device. I could not make any calls or text etc. I have never used ST and I did not set up a 4 digit password. I had to use my son’s IPhone to sign in remotely and completely wipe my brand new phone. After that I called the carrier Sprint to ask if that could possibly be a Sprint security setting. I just began new service with Sprint, after my SIM card was swapped onto a hackers Apple Watch using my Verizon account 3 weeks ago. I have had non stop ID theft headaches. I love my IOS devices I go through them like candy it’s not good. Everything keeps getting compromised. It all began with a Apple push cert, GSM, and Esim certificate. I found them all on my Samsung computer, someone placed them there. After that non stop bank fraud, hacking, I can’t regain access to any of my accounts. My gmails, outlooks, FB, snap, Twitter, Venmo, eBay, PayPal, you name it. If I ever signed into the app from any of my devices I am now locked out. Mind you I am an Op Mngr for E-Commerce, I am pretty well versed in security, and procedures. I have been in charge of PCI compliance for 10 years. So for anyone to compromise my accounts they have to bypass 2FA Authy, or MS Authenticator. Which is impossible to do unless you are using a malicious advantage over me, ex. Altering apps at runtime or gaining access to kernel SU privileges which I believe this TRUST ASSET VERSION 7 must be connected to. I just called Apple for my follow up call, I called Nov 1st to have the analytics pulled off my phone. Apple said they have no record of my call on Nov 1st and there is no order for engineering to inspect my analytics. SCARY? How about FRIGHTENING! So I have local and federal law enforcement involved at this point. I don’t believe I am the only one. FBI says it’s a ID theft group. Whatever that is. Hopefully I can get back to some privacy and security soon.

You are telling my life story...almost down to the letter, except my nightmare began August. Did you experience spoofed calls (on landline) from “Apple Inc” that was actually random Apple retail locations (before I even contacted Verizon, and def not Apple) I have yet to report anything to anyone, as VZW has maintained this is my own fault, somehow, and belittled me, and convinced me to add a line (and new device of course). How do I report this? To who?

Thank you for posting Mgn777.

I am so sorry you are going through the same thing. I see 49 people have identified having the trust agent 7. Sprint fraud thinks it has to do with finances or a financial institution. Bank of America banned my devices from online banking and ITunes last September. That was the biggest RED ALERT I received. Here is a bit about what happened, and what I have researched, and what I am doing. I hope this may help. I first made Police reports regarding my “intrusion” or hacking last November. It started with my original ICloud which I later deleted, because I kept getting locked out. Next my Google accounts started having the same issue. I used my Gmail also for my Apple ID.

Note; DO NOT STORE TOO MUCH PERSONAL INFO IN YOUR EMAILS OR ON SOCIAL MEDIA. I learned this the HARD WAY. My Paypal was next, along with FB, IG, etc. My XS max at the time was deemed “compromised” by an Apple senior advisor. At that time the device was less than 3 weeks old. I did purchase it at an Apple store as opposed to my carrier at the time T-Mobile business. I requested an exchange or return based on the “compromise” however Apple declined, and wanted to keep getting more info regarding the situation. The advisor “Jake” sent me some emails to upload more documentation. That was when everything went downhill fast. I lost access to any and everything related to and email/ Apple ID, etc. And it was fast, like dominoes one, then another. Now 1 year later, every IOS device purchased has had a mind of its own. I could be wrong, but it seems like a remote IT admin running a VM on top of my IOS. It’s like an emulator is sharing my device with me without my permission.

Apple has suggested its originating from a LAN or wLAN. The detective had me nix my ISP COX. ( The COX tier 2 IT rep said either I have a world class hacker living in the condo next to me, or someone really has it out for me ) NO THANK YOU AND SHOULD I LEAVE THE COUNTRY?!? OMG. I have changed my phone number, countless times, made new Google accounts ( PER GOOGLES SUGGESTION AS THEY CANNOT HELP YOU REGAIN ACCESS TO A HACKED ACCOUNT JUST FYI UNLESS YOU KNOW KANYE OR TRUMP) Thanks Google :( every time I changed carriers, ( AtandT, T-Mobile, VZW, Sprint ( which by far has the best security so far)  IT MADE/MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.

GAME OVER For ME and my Son!

Nov 6, 2019 11:49 AM in response to MnMLV

My intrusion seems to be related to a memory corruption. My phones ( I have gone through at least 11 in the past year) revert back to a previously used password. Not sure how or why. Obviously some kind of “bug”. I started reading the analytics on the phone and I am quite familiar with them now. After a lot of eye strain and Googling I found remote access to my devices. In my case, mine is directly related to pretty severe ID theft. I currently have 4 SSN’s on my credit report, and addresses in PA that I should have nothing to do with. Even the phone numbers on my credit are all incorrect.

My advice to anyone having any kind of email intrusion, or account intrusion is to GET YOUR CREDIT FROZEN A.S.A.P. They “whoever accessed my info, financial institutions, stole my ID and is still in all my emails and social media”  actually even used or are using my 9 year olds SSN. I try to regain access to my Apple ID’s to at least check my $2500 in iTunes charges (spread out over all the Apple ID’s).

The problem is, you have to authenticate the Apple ID. I am in an endless loop of Apple ID recovery. I won’t get the recovery sms. I learned an important lesson. Your phone number is like your SSN. Don’t change it. You don’t think about how the issues to regain access gets so much worse if you lose the number.

Before I forget. I had Metro PCS for a few months. I literally received no calls, No password resets nothing. It is like VZW but worse. So I downloaded the MetroID app, and my phone showed me the calls that had actually been coming to my phone ( NOT THAT I RECEIVED THEM) like you said above calls from Apple store in San Diego? The time I thought I was speaking to Apple Support Sept 20 the ID says VISA? Then Apple, then some random persons number. I look everything up on Social Catfish and Truth finder. That is how I found the fake Linked IN profile of myself, as well as several fake FB profiles linked to the phone numbers ( NOT MINE) on my credit report.

TF showed me that my emails are circulating on the dark or black web. Whatever the diff really don’t care. I feel this is a total invasion and intrusion of American Civil Rights. To not have encryption on your $1200 phone is ridiculous. I am sorry. After I lost touch with Jake I threw my phone in the trash and bought another. This is the vicious cycle. As soon as I create an Apple ID I get locked out of it. My phone ( by itself) reverts back to a previous password from a different device, I am assuming. Maybe it just changes the device password who knows. Point is right now I have a disabled 11, 1 month old and an XS Max with “ trust asset version 7”. No one can tell me what this means. I am calling Apple again after I am done here.

This can not be an isolated incident. This has followed me for a year. I am not a political activist, or anyone who is high profile or may be a likely target for this. I have been an E-Com Op Mngr, I am not sure what put the target on my back. Police said it was someone close to me doing this. I have literally cut off anyone from coming near my home and all my contacts are gone. My banks drained. So what is the motivation at this point? That is the million dollar question. Why ME? :)

AND HOW TO STOP IT!! ASAP!

iPhones cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware by merely clicking on a link in Safari, unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious softwares or unauthorised apps directly from internet and installed on your iPhone.

You need to look at the way you share your sensitive and valuable informations of your device with your friends and family members.

And yes under settings there is a phone number other than mine and IMS / then some Wierd long number @sprint. I spoke to the carrier they said those are all normally part of the internal programming. You or I should not be Seeing those settings. They could not explain it just like the trust asset 7. Figures.

If you want to really scare yourself read the analytics. They are boring but once you make sense of them it’s absolutely frightening in my phone what goes on. I downloaded Open VPN and their log for some reason really shows you a lot as well. It seems like the server instance on my device AWS Linux and the user agent on my device shows up as Like Mac OSX Trident Like Ghecko which is strange as I am using an XS Max.

🙈

You will prob see remote access etc.

What you are saying is not only

untrue it is negligent. No one thought

a device could be compromised

remotely without physical access until

Pegasus and the WhatsApp malware hack

became public. I suggest you check out this

I have no “superior knowledge”, I just know that it started in a galaxy s7 and followed me through the switch to my first and second iPhones, so since day one my iPhone, has been hacked. My 1st Apple ID was logged into within an hour of setting it up and it and my current ID are set up as developer accounts, I’m not a developer. And even Apples security states known issues allowing remote attacks on iPhones, I don’t know what “experts” or world iPhones can’t be hacked.

Your iPhone has not been hacked. Period. End of discussion. If you persist in believing your iPhone has been hacked you will never find the root cause of whatever problem you have.

Your Apple ID may have been hacked, but that has nothing to do with your iPhone. And if you had 2 factor authentication on your Apple ID it could not be hacked either. But see this Apple support article—>If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

Please show me where Apple security states that there are known issues allowing remote attacks on iPhones. I DO work in cybersecurity, and I have never seen any alerts from Apple or CERT of what you claim.

Wow Everything you were saying had me nodding my head although you seem to be able to wrap your head around and explain with assurance as to what and how its happening. I have been made out to look crazy and have lost so much credibility because I am unsure and unable to explain what exactly is going on other than someone seems to be controlling my life locking me out of everyone of my accounts and making anything im trying to do completely impossible. Its for that reason that i have yet to contact and reach out to the authorities, for fear of being laughed at and once again made out to seem crazy as if im not 100% dealing with complete harrassment/violation/torment... any tips on what i can say or words i can use to seem somewhat credible so i can start to maybe feel some type of relief from all of this ? What is wrong with people , i was convinced i was a rarety in having to deal with these kind of psychopath losers. It doesnt make me feel any better knowing now that im not the knly one . Sorry to anyone that has to deal with this kind of abuse ..
