Delete Player Location Check on your Mac
I have a player location check icon that I cannot remove. I believe it is for an online gambling app, which I do not use. It showed up after a system update. How do I remove it?

Update: It's def an installed app. If you go to the application, it is there. When you try to drag it to trash, you get the notice that it cannot be deleted because it is open. However, it does not show as open or running in force quit. Not sure how else to delete it?
Similar. pretty sure it is some sort of malware (Blue "G" in the window bar). I haven't had luck removing yet.
It definitely appeared with Catalina update.
I just made it disappear, but not sure what I did. Finally was able to unlock it and uninstall. Let me figure out what I did and I’ll update ugh!
Thanks. :)
Thank you so much!!! this finally worked.
Thanks for this. Seems to have worked perfectly. Good man Brendan!!!!!!
What do you do though if you cannot move player location check to the trash?
Try it in Safe Mode...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Thanks for your reply...I did try in safe mode... It still gave me message it could not move it to the trash as it was still open
Well FindAnyFile and/or etrecheck should point out some .plist to Trash, then you restart.
I think that worked! Thanks so much for your help!
Worked for me too. Thanks
Great to hear! :)
I'm on Mojave, and it just popped up. Either espn.com or hulu.com is responsible... I think it's espn, since the plugin reportedly is used for gambling sites
Thanks.
