Youtube app text is overlaid with other text

I'm having the exact same problem (YouTube app text is overlaid with other text). A friend of mine is also having the exact same problem too.

• The problem comes and goes sporadically
• The problem started around three months ago or so (the problem certainly didn't exist six months ago)
• I have an Apple TV 4K (64GB) with the latest version of Apple TV OS and YouTube app
• The problem ONLY shows up with YouTube on AppleTV combination
• YouTube on my iPad is fine. Conversely other apps (such as Netflix) on AppleTV have no problems with over lapping text.
• Tried rebooting everything multiple times - did not fix the problem
• Tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the YouTube App on AppleTV - did not fix the problem.
• Somehow previous YouTube thumbnails/video-title-description screens get sometimes "stuck in the background" so that NEW YouTube thumbnails/video-title-description get superimposed upon vestiges of OLD YouTube screens - hence making the text unreadable
• This is clearly a bug in the software. It's only a question of whether the bug is in the YouTube app itself, or if the bug is in the AppleTV OS. As previously mentioned, the problem only shows up with YouTube on AppleTV.

As previously stated that would be an issue with the app that google needs to address. The OP noted that reinstalling the app fixed it for them, but if that isn’t working for you then you can reach out to their support.

You can try force quitting the app as well as deleting and reinstalling, but if it persists then it's something google needs to address.

They are the only ones who can fix it as it is their app so you will need to persist and encourage any others to do the same.
