Apple Watch series 2 is frozen on the apple icon after running most recent update. Restarting watch & iPhone sr Max has not helped. Please advise.

I set up the Apple Watch update this morning & now my Apple Watch is frozen with the apple icon on the face. I’ve forced it to shut off, as well as restarting my iPhone X Max. My phone can no longer connect to the watch. I’ve tried restarting the Apple Watch more than once to no avail. This has never happened before. How can I get my Apple Watch fixed?
