Why is memoji missing on ios 13?

Hello! I just updated my iPad to ioS13. Unfortunately, the "Memoji" monkey is missing in my Messages app bar (I do have digital touch, app store etc.) and I can't seem to add it because there's no app for it to download. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Memoji and Animoji Stickers, for iPads that can run iPadOS, requires an iPad that has an A9 CPU or greater.

The iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 models ONLY have A8X and A8 CPUs, respectively, and are ineligible from getting the Memoji/Animoji Sticker feature of iPadOS.

Sorry.

For very good, third party Memoji apps for yout iPad model, I recommend either Emoji Me or Your Avatar Creator.

My Memoji that I use here in these Apple product support communities was created by Emoji Me and modified using Pixelmator for iOS.

Good Luck to You!

Yes.

I edited the final EmojiMe image using an image editor.

In my case, I used the image editor Pixelmator for iOS.

I edited the the hair, eyebrows, teeth ( I have a smiling version of my face, also ) and the glasses.

You could use any image editor, like Procreate, Affinity Photo, Art Studio Pro, ArtRage and similar apps to modify an EmojiMe created image.

I may end up modifying the eyes, at some point, as EmojiMe doesn't have quite the right eye style for my own eyes.
