Time lapse not saved

If I understand correctly, the iPhone does not save time-lapse recordings. Does the iPhone save other photos or videos? Does the length of the of the time-lapse affect if it can be saved? Use the article below to ensure that your device has enough storage before trying time-lapse mode again.

I have encountered the same issue on my brand new iPhone 11. Storage is not the issue, as I have 104gb of free storage.

I am incredibly frustrated by this, as I was recording a time lapse video that was remarkably important for me, and I now have no record of it.
