No full screen after clicking on link

Since the second to last IOS upgrade, when I click on a hyperlink I only get a quarter screen opening to read the newspaper or article or other item. I can squeeze the text larger but have to swipe left and right to read which is very tedious. How do I get back to just getting a full screen when I click on something. I can click on Reader View but it is still on the tiny quarter page.

What you’re likely seeing is the new “quickview” feature of iPadOS/iOS13. If you Simply the “tap” what you want to see, then the email or link will operate in the way that you are accustomed.

By contrast however, If you instead touch-and-hold (for a little too long on your case), then you trigger the “quickview” feature - that shows a reduced/thumbnail view.

I hope this explanation helps resolve the unexpected behaviour that you’re seeing.
