My CarPlay won't read text messages in my 2019 VW Jetta. I can ask to send a text. This started about a few weeks ago. I have read all forums with answers from change the cord to an Apple cord (which I've done), reboot phone (which I've done), Forget this CarPlay on iPhone (which I've done). When I want to have my text message read, I get this message Siri Not Available Internet Connection Lost. Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you find a resolution? I took my vehicle (2018 Audi A4) to the car dealership so that they could update it. That did not work. Are you using an iPhone 11? I never had any issues when I was using my iPhone 6s. When I upgraded to an iPhone 11 it was working OK for a few weeks but the past month I cannot get it to read my messages. I can send and receive phone calls and I can send text messages no problem, But when I want Siri to read them I get the same error message that you get. It says there is no Internet connection and she tells me to wait “one moment” any help will be appreciated thank you
Perhaps what should be added is to make sure you are on the most current iOS--that is what fixed the problem. I was pretty much aware of all the steps to the link you sent.
Once I updated to the most current iOS, everything worked fine. No issues.

I am having the same issue and my iPhone 11 is up-to-date. My CarPlay works fine with other phones. I have tried an android and the people at the car dealership have tried other iPhones and they work fine as long as they are not iPhone 11’s.... What is my next step?
I have the same problem with my iPhone 11 and Audi 2018 Q5. If anyone finds a solution please post. It's really annoying to have had the feature work before then just stop. I have the latest IOS update already so it's not that.
Hi. I ended up updating to the latest iOS at the time and it worked. If you haven't updated, do so and then try it. Haven't had an issue since.

Thanks for responding. I did update my phone. Were you on an iPhone 11? My sons IPhone 8 works fine so it’s not the car, it’s my phone
I have the 8.
I don't know. When I posted this question, I was looking for someone to answer. I figured it out on my own. I do have the 8, so not sure if there are issues with the 11.
