They do not currently have support for this game pad.
Please go to https://www.apple.com/feedback/

HOORAY
Link?
What does that mean? All buttons including paddles? Custom functions for joystick gains? Remapping of buttons? Hairtrigger switch for shorter trigger pulls?
That might be something I do on a test device but not my everyday use device. Betas are not reliable enough to use on a device I need daily.
The controller support is much better and broader than I anticipated.

That is what I would have thought, but when I tried pairing my New Series 2 controller to my iPad it did not appear on the other device list. Same with my iPhone XS and Apple TV. I tried with my friends XR, no luck but then I tried on my Mac and it paired no problem and same with my friends PC. I tested the controller on the PC and Mac which worked well so the controller is not faulty it just does not appear on the Bluetooth list on Apple TV, iPhone or my iPad which is strange as it is Bluetooth??
Any suggestions??
I’m not saying it’s impossible. It most likely isn’t, but the interface is different—by design. I can tell you that the scuff works because it uses the XBox 1 s controller interface. Their elite series scuff controllers do not work—different interface.
I’ve been using the interface driver software (3rd party) on my Mac for the Xbox 360 wired controller before Apple added capability for the Xbox 1 s—the driver was very buggy, but the best at the time.
interfaces are a non trivial issue to get it right. It’s easier to imagine technology working the way you want than it is actually to make it work the way you want. If you think it’s so easy you can always spend your time and energy creating a driver software for the elite series controller and give it away—or perhaps sell it if it’s any good and make a boat load of money. BTW, why isn’t Microsoft doing this?
Apple and Microsoft, I’m sure, are assessing cost vs benefit. They may have concluded “not worth it”—which sucks, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. And unless you’re one of those moochers who thinks others should freely, without payment, spend their time and effort (i.e., their life) to support you and your interests, then I think you should be able to appreciate this last point.
i just hope Apple sees it in their interest to solve this non-trivial interface problem with a beautiful solution, because I certainly can’t solve it even with a poor solution.
Lets get this going guys... Please go to https://www.apple.com/feedback/
and place your feedback. I did my part.
Just updated my iPad Pro to iPadOS 13.3 and nothing new..still not showing up. Share your feedback everyone, lets make some noise. Have a good day.
Android supports the Elite 2 controller. Apple just needs to allow the MAC and the controller would likely work.
Scuf prestige works for my phone too. It is using the xbox one s drivers which is why it’s supported. Paddles work and map great. Easier than elite. Quality isn’t as good but it works
