My mac says it’s up to date, but it’s not!

I have a MacBook Pro 2016, and recently, I can’t open my iMovie because it says I need to update my MacOS to at least Mojave 10.14.6 but I can’t update my MacOS since in the system preference section, it says that my Mac is up to date.

I tried downloading combo packs and Mojave 10.14.6 from Apple official website but when I was about to install, it says “This disk do not meet the requirements to install” or something like that.

please help.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

What version of macOS Mojave are you on.

Do you know if your Macs hard drive is formatted as APFS or is MacOS Extended Journaled (HFS+).

In order for the Combo updates to install your drive needs to be APFS.

To check, highlight the HD on your Desktop, press Command-i the info panel ill show up,

in the General section it will tell you what format your disk is.
